We started in a cottage kitchen with three laptops and a whiteboard

Back in 2018, two former bank analysts and a teacher sat down with one simple question: why does investing feel so deliberately complicated? That conversation in rural Clare turned into Rythmend Izy.

How we got here, and where we're going

2018

The beginning

Three people frustrated with financial jargon decided to create something different. We ran our first pilot workshop in Ennis with twelve local residents who'd never invested before. The feedback was honest and incredibly helpful.

2020

Moving online

During lockdown, we rebuilt everything for remote learning. Turned out people across Ireland wanted straightforward investing education without sales pitches. Our approach resonated beyond what we expected.

2022

Growing the team

We brought in educators and financial professionals who shared our philosophy about accessible education. The team grew to eight people, all committed to teaching without overwhelm or unrealistic promises.

2024

Expanded curriculum

After working with over 600 learners, we developed specialized modules covering different investing approaches. Each one designed around real questions people actually ask, not what textbooks think they should know.

2025 & ahead

Building for the long term

We're developing more practical resources and planning autumn 2025 sessions that reflect what people need right now. The cottage kitchen is long gone, but the core idea hasn't changed at all.

Education should clarify, not confuse

We believe financial knowledge belongs to everyone, not just people with economics degrees. Our approach strips away unnecessary complexity and focuses on building genuine understanding.

1

Plain language

No industry jargon without explanation. If something sounds complicated, we break it down until it makes sense.

2

Realistic expectations

Investing involves risk and patience. We never promise guaranteed returns or overnight success stories.

3

Individual paths

What works for one person might not suit another. We teach principles, not prescriptions.

The people behind the programs

Our team includes former financial analysts, experienced educators, and people who've made plenty of investing mistakes themselves. That combination matters. We understand both the technical side and the emotional side of learning about money.

Everyone on the team has actually taught our courses, not just designed them from an office. We hear directly what confuses people, what clicks immediately, and where we need to explain things differently.

Based in County Clare but working with learners across Ireland, we're building something that feels local even when delivered remotely. That balance between personal attention and practical accessibility drives everything we do.
